In 2022, KHB’s Reference Laboratory achieved accreditation from the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC) JCTLM. This accreditation underscores the "international comparability" and "global credibility" of the laboratory’s test results, allowing the laboratory to provide more precise and reliable support for clinical diagnostics, standard substance value assignment, disease monitoring, and scientific research.

The 11 JCTLM-certified projects span key testing areas such as metabolism, liver and kidney function, and enzymology, including:

√ Metabolism: Glucose, Urea, Total Cholesterol (TC)

√ Liver & Kidney Function: Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT), Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST), Creatinine

√ Enzymology: Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP), Amylase (AMY), Creatine Kinase (CK), Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH), Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase (GGT)

JCTLM Certification: A Gold Standard in Measurement Traceability

Measurement traceability is considered the cornerstone of standardizing and harmonizing medical test results. The Joint Committee for Traceability in Laboratory Medicine (JCTLM) is one of the world’s leading certification bodies for measurement traceability in laboratory medicine. For Chinese companies to pursue JCTLM certification, they must first obtain accreditation from the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), which ensures that only those with the highest technical standards can be considered. Therefore, JCTLM certification represents the pinnacle of international laboratory medicine.
